As clearly proved by Developmental Psychology, childhood is one of the most important stages. In childhood, the foundation of a person is established. It is necessary for parents to really guide their child in this early stage of their life. Most of the values parents would instill to their child in this stage would be absorbed well and be carried through the older years.

There are a lot of things that could be considered educational and must be taught to your child. You as parents could choose from loads of things to let your child learn. There is one thing that would really be a great learning for your child that is public speaking.

What are the essential effects of public speaking? Public speaking is something that when mastered would definitely be an advantage.

At a young age, it would be very good if you encourage your child to speak in front of others. See to it that you allow your child to reach out and speak out his or her mind regarding things. It would be an advantage that your child could speak with those older than him/her.

What could be easy means of polishing your child’s public speaking potentials?

At home, you could initiate the ways on how your child could learn the basics of public speaking. By a simple storytelling, you could be able to squeeze out the objectives learning public speaking and let your child absorb it.

You could also try something which involves a simple researching. As we all know, when you speak in front of people, you just do not need to hold on to your personal opinions, it would be a plus if you have references. You could share this important knowledge to your child by preparing simple yet effective steps.

Ask your child to talk to you about pets. Tell her to use your internet and if he or she has the knowledge on computers, it could be the best medium of research. Without it, you could ask him/her to use books or other references available at home.

When you think there is a need for your child to have formal lessons or training, you could enroll her/him in a speech class that could harness the potentials for public speaking.

Ada yang down syndrome dan ada pula yang autisme malahan pelbagai masalah pembelajaran murid-murid dididik dengan ikhlasnya. Ada yang masuk ke kelas dengan kerusi rodanya dan ada juga yang enggan masuk ke kelas dan tidak kurang pula yang masih menggunakan lampin pakai buang.


Semuanya dilalui dengan rasa sabar, tiada perasaan jijik, tiada rasa benci. Walaupun air hingusan penuh di pipi, kencing berlari-lari  segalanya dianggap amanah Ilahi untuk diberi pendidikan di dunia yang sementara ini.  Mencurahkan  ilmu pada insan-insan istimewa yang dijanjikan syurga di sana nanti.


Bersyukur kerana anda antara insan-insan terpilih melaksanakan amanah menyebarkan ilmu pengetahuan, obor yang membakar diri untuk menerangi hidup orang lain.  Betapa mulianya pengorbanan anda semua. Allah pasti menyediakan ganjaran buat mu nun di sana nanti setimpal dengan segala khidmat bakti anda wahai guru.

Smooth Transitions: School to Work

One of the most major transitions in any person's life is that from school to work. In high school or college, many people lead a protected life and are still helped financially and otherwise by their parents. After school, these ties are often cut, leaving the recent graduate to fend for his- or herself. This transition is scary for anyone, but even more so for an individual with autism. Because school is a time to learn to live with peers in a controlled environment, the work force is a difficult concept for autistic people because one must often deal with new situations daily rather than have the comfort of a set living situation.

One of the main things autistic graduates need to learn is how to deal with people in a business world. This includes proper grooming, something that may not have been such a big deal in high school or college. Proper grooming, such as brushing your teeth, wearing appropriate clothing, using deodorant, and combing your hair probably comes natural for most people, but an autistic person needs help with these tasks-he or she may not realize that they are being inappropriate. By this stage in life, many autistic individuals who have gone through schooling are at a maturity level where they can do the task assigned with no problem and avoid outbursts in most situations. In fact, it has been shown that some autistic individuals are highly skilled at tasks involving things such as math or music. Learning a new job in the work force is not the problem-relating to others in a social situation is.

These relationship problems also, unfortunately, help people take advantage of autistic individuals. Most people who suffer from autism believe that all people are like themselves, and inherently good. In business, it is sadly very common to come across companies and business people who do not practice ethically. This often shocks autistic individuals, who may have no idea how to handle this sort of situation. Others in the work force may also not be skilled to deal with autism, leading to bad relationships among employees. By hiring an autistic individual, employers must not only teach them their new job, but also provide direction for others who have to work with him or her. Intolerance in the work force is common, and autistic individuals need to be prepared for this.

Overall, it is important for people with autism to realize that there will be a major change between life in high school or college and life in the work force. It is probably very beneficial for these individuals to seek help in the transition from therapists, family members, or mentors. Going from school to work is difficult, but with a little motivation and hard work anyone, autistic or not, can succeed.
